Step-by-step set-up & connection instructions:
- Open the padlock on the case using the code you were given.
- Open the transport case, remove the light and microphone, and set aside.
- Remove the box by both handles, for safety. (You do not need to take out the small portable keyboard unless asked to do so.)
- Place the box on your conference table or desk, with the camera at the top.
- Attach the light to the top of the box, positioning it on the magnetic base.
- Connect the light's USB cable to the port on the side of the box.
- Open the microphone tripod stand and set it onto your table top. Attach the USB cable to the back of the mic and connect to the USB port on the side of the box.
- Plug in the power cord. You may need to provide an extension cord to reach your nearest outlet.
- Please turn on the power at least 5 minutes before the start of the podcast recording using the ON button located on the power cable. It takes several minutes to completely boot up and make all necessary connections.
To Join the Session: At the appropriate time for your meeting (or anytime up to five minutes prior), press the top left key on the pad (JOIN MEETING) to join the zoom call. This will connect you to our studio and you will receive a notice that someone will let you in soon.
The studio producer will answer your call and connect you to your host. Everyone will be in the meeting together to say hello. When the recording the episode is ready to begin, the producers will turn off their cameras and mute their microphones.
To Wrap-up the Session: When you finish the content of the episode, the producers will re-join you on screen to say goodbye. When you’re ready to leave, press the bottom left button (LEAVE/EXIT), and turn off the power switch.
To re-pack the kit:
- Disconnect all the cables and coil them neatly to fit back into the transport case.
- Remove the light from the box and the fold up the mic.
- Using both handles for safety, put the box back into the transport case with the face down.
- Remove the old shipping label.
- Insert the new shipping label that was provided.
