Six Buddhist nuns from the Keydong Thuk-che Choeling Nunnery in Kathmandu, Nepal, arrived in Hartford on August 16, 2012 in preparation for building a mandala, a sand painting used for prayer, contemplation, and healing, at Trinity College, in Hartford, Connecticut.

HOPE #1: For our Children to Explore, Unbounded.
HOPE #2: For Compassion and Healing in our World.
HOPE #3: For people to find Serenity and reflect on our humanity.
HOPE #4: For everyone to be better stewards of the land. No matter what you believe.
HOPE #5: For the young to embrace science and for the old to find new scientific inspiration in the work of the next generation.
HOPE #6: For all those that need it.  Strength, despite adversity.
HOPE #7: For people everywhere to be able to find life's simple joy.
